Here are some popular funeral hymns that I have compiled which I hope will be helpful to ministers of the Word or family members of deceased who are looking for suitable hymns for the funeral service or memorial services.

Paul said in Phil 1:21, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

Indeed it is a joyful occasion for the one who has passed over to the other side. For he or she has gone to be with the Lord, and will live forever in a place where there's no pain or sorrow.

But for us who love the deceased, it is a time of sorrow; a time to grief and to let go.

My sincere prayer to God is that one or more of these Christian funeral hymns listed here will help anyone who are grieving the loss of a loved one. That by choosing and singing one of these hymns, you will be comforted and have that assurance that God is in control of all situation and that you will be united with your loved one day.
